I absolutely love the ring my fiance picked out for me. I can't say much for the purchasing aspect as I wasn't in attendance. He picked out a beautiful Scott Kay ring that is exactly what I would've picked. His pluses were the fresh cookies they supply. I do have plenty of experience with bringing my ring in to be cleaned/serviced. They are always friendly and "ooh" over my ring but their turnaround time is, in my opinion, crazy. I understand they have a lot of merchandise that needs to be fixed but it doesn't quite add up. Everything takes a week, this is my second time bringing my ring in and having to wait a week for repairs. The funny thing is that I mentioned not being able to leave it this weekend if I could make an appointment to bring it in and have a faster turnaround. Today is thursday and she originally told me if I left it today it would be done next thursday. So how does this add up...She offered me monday for an appointment to pick it up on tuesday. So I'd get it sooner if I dropped it off later? Thats where things don't add up. Makes me think they just didn't want to do it for me today. Especially since I mentioned the flaw a previous time I was there and was told its nothing. Besides this, they have a great selection and are very nice. They'd be great if their repair were faster and not quite so shady.

My husband bought my engagement ring here so we went back to purchase our wedding bands. Their prices were extremely reasonable and the quality of service was fantastic. It was great from the moment we walked in to the door, until we left the store with our purchase. They are very knowledgeable about jewelery and do a fantastic job explaining them. I never felt pushed to buy something that was out of my budget or preference. P.S. Ask for Brian McCullough. He was fantastic to work with

Smyth is and will always be the number 1 jeweler in Maryland. They are so willing to work with any budget and get you what you want! The people that work there are very knowledgeable about their jewely and want to get you the best price. Their warranty and customer service can not be touched! Love this company

My husband got my engagement ring at Smyth, and we also got his wedding ring there. The process for these two rings was absolutely wonderful. I love that they have a 100 day guarantee with the engagement rings and that they service it (rhodium plating, sizing, etc.) for free. However, when I wanted to purchase just a plain wedding band with no diamonds I was looked at like I had two heads. They made me feel awful and I ended up purchasing elsewhere.

Smyth is a really wonderful place to do business. My husband and I purchased all 3 rings from there. My engagement and wedding ring both came from their Estate section which allowed us to find one of a kind pieces at amazing prices. They also had the largest selection of men's bands that we had seen. My husband was able to find exactly what he wanted. The best part is having complientary service on the jewelry, especially since mine isn't brand new. Smyth is a great place to shop, but if they give you Greg as a salesman, ask for someone else.

Our wedding rings were purchased at Smyth and I would not have gone any where else. I love being able to get my rings cleaned everyday if I wanted and if there is a loose or missing stone they fix the problem without any payment. Smyth is now and will always be my jewelry store

We worked with Chris and he was wonderful in helping us pick out our wedding ring. He and my husband designed my ring from stone to setting and did a wonderful job. When we went in to order the wedding bands Chirs helped us decide what type of bands we wanted and showed us all of the selctions that they had. We even had the rings engraved and they turned out great. The one great thing at Smyth is that they have fresh baked cookies and free popcorn for you to snack on while you are shopping - I shop and they feed me - what could be better - go and see Chris - he is great

My wife and I had a great experience with Smyth. To be honest when I went in I thought they would be really expensive, but I was totally surprised. Their bang for buck was really good, especially since we bought my wife's ring in their "red carpet sale". She found the perfect ring that she was having a hard time finding anywhere else. I also love my ring. We also were treated very courteously by the staff. They gave us water and soda while we were there and offered us wine and beer. Our overall experience their was great, and I will be sure to go back in the future.

The folks at Smyth are simply awesome! We worked with Brian McCullough at the Timonium store, and we can't say enough great things about him or everyone else associated with the store. First, Brian worked with me through about 2 hours of trying on different wedding rings, and even went and solicited other jewelers in the store for their opinion when I was down to 2 rings that I had a hard time choosing from. Second, he did an awesome job of sizing both of our rings, as my husband has a giant knuckle that he had trouble fitting a ring on to, and I had a weird-sized ring finger (somewhere between 5 and 5.5 ring finger) that required the store to shave down the inside of the ring (which they did, no problem!). They also had some of the best prices around the Baltimore area (we went to about 10 different places, and it isn't even close in terms of price comparison, and the quality was virtually the same). Finally, the finished product was awesome, and the rings are of high quality and fit great. This place was simply fantastic (you can't beat their prices or their service), and make sure to ask for Brian if you go in! He's the best!

We absolutely LOVE Smyth! Ray at the Annapolis Smyth store is fantastic and we prefer to deal with him directly and for our future jewelry needs.

A fantastic place to buy jewelry. My husband has been shopping there for years and now I shop there as well. They are always so courteous and knowledgeable. Every time we ride by the York road location, we stop and have our rings cleaned which they do quickly and with a smile. I really cannot say enough good about them. I was primarily a mall jewelry store shopper in the past, but there is such a difference in the level of quality that I generally keep my shopping habits confined to Smyths now. Go there and look around for yourself.

During our first visit/look, we had quite a salesman. I am a salesperson’s dream come true and was hooked by what he said. Although my husband (who never buys anything on the first visit) wanted to take more time to mull it over, the offer we were given was great and we were told that the deposit was fully refundable within (I believe it was) 30 days so we took it. When we came back about a month later to pick up the rings and pay the final balance, we were advised that that salesperson no longer worked there because he was making unauthorized deals with customers and had received complaints about being too high-pressure in his sales. Smyth honored the deal that we were given and the representatives were apologetic for our hassle (having to explain the situation and get other people involved to resolve the situation). Although a bit of a hassle, the representatives who assisted us were very pleasant and helpful and in the end we got our beautiful rings for a great price. I would definitely still recommend them and would shop there again myself.

Smyth is where Baltimore gets married is soo true! They made ring shopping and buying easy! We had a great experience at the Timonium store. A little less than a month before the wedding, my fiance's finger size changed and his ring no longer fit his finger. Before I could even start to panic, we went to Smyth and they took care of it, all free of charge. We were able to get a new ring with engraving, all done a week before the wedding! Talk about great service!!

We love this place! We had shopped around together for my engagement ring (yes, non-traditional, I know). We went to a bunch of national chains and didn't find anything that we both loved. We went to Smyth and I knew this was the place. They had SO many settings that I loved...it was hard to choose one. Our consultant was very professional and helped my fiance BUY the ring while I was in the store...without my knowledge at all. Now, that's impressive! We had such a great experience that we went back and purchased both of our wedding rings from Smyth. They have free cleaning (and free cookies) and I take advantage of both quite often!

Smyths was great. Only complaint was we had to request our appraisals quite a few times and it takes forever for them to do any work. Everyone was nice as can be and quite helpful. My husband liked that they made him very comfortable including offering him a drink!

We had a great experience with Smyths. One of the reasons we chose Smyths was because of the salesperson Ray at the Annapolis location. He was there whenever we had a question and patient with us as we took our time choosing the perfect ring. He was very professional, personal and helped us along the process. He promptly responded by text, phone or email. We ended up going with a ring from Scott Kay. I also went back to choose a watch for my husband as a surprise wedding gift to give to him on his wedding day. Whenever we go back to get our rings resized or cleaned it is is so nice to have someone to go directly to.

My husband got my engagement ring from smyth. It is absoultely beautiful. The only issue we had was when we went to get the matching wedding band then said they did not carry that brand anymore. We found the hearts on fire wedding band at another jeweler. When we went back to Smyth to get his wedding band we found out that they had the hearts on fire back and were selling it at a better price. It seemed that we had been misinformed by some of the employees. I wish they would have contacted us letting us know that they were bringing hearts on fire back to the store.

So 1st of all is the engagement ring...it is beautiful, but it had to be sized, during the sizing process the timonium location mangled my ring and then sent it back to me that way. After them having it for a week to size it, they had it another week or 2 to fix the mess they had created. Next, there was no band made for my engagement ring so we had to have it custom made, and we were told to have the original designer make the custom band. We said ok, having to send out my engagement ring for them to take a mold of and fit it exactly and also being quoted a price without knowing any of the specs for the ring. We get both rings back 3 weeks later than we were told (at that time 5 weeks before the wedding) to find a hideous band that did not even fit close to my engagement ring. The people at Symth were as appalled as we were and worked with us to have another designer custom make the band, again having to give up my engagement ring for them to mold and fit exactly. The second band was great, it fit well and looks like a matching band that was what we wanted in the 1st place, though it was a bit scary since we got my band 4 days before the wedding. They did give us a gift certificate for the Milton Inn, but I really don't think that's a big deal for them since they do it often enough in promos. As for my husbands band, there were no issues with it and its fantastic, though a bit overpriced for a mens band with no diamond adornment. Overall I really don't want to ever have to deal with them again for a new purchase. I will continue to go to them to have my rings cleaned and checked since this is part of what you are paying for up front, but I would not recommend them.

My fiance bought my engagement ring from there and because of the great service and value that we received, we also bought our wedding bands from there also. They were very friendly and helpful

Before we got engaged and my now husband and I were talking about getting married, the only thing I told him was "Whenever you decide to get the ring, you have to get it from Smyth". I remember going with my dad to Smyth when I was a child to help him pick out a ring for my mom for their 20th anniversary. Every major piece of jewelry my parents have given me, whether it be for college graduation or any other special event, always came from Smyth. They are outstanding to work with. They have wonderful customer service, and their sales staff is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful, but not pushy or overbearing like you might find in some jewelry stores. The engagement ring my husband picked out for my is stunning, and the wedding bands we selected are equally and beautiful. The have an impressive selection, and I will continue to return there in the future.
