Renee Michele Photography

Renee's portfolio is on par with photographers in the $6K range, I think. She has a great eye for natural light, and her genuine excitement about capturing my husband and me at our best made us feel confident and at ease. She and both of her assistants were extremely professional and courteous--even making sure we had food to eat and brining me a wrap when the weather turned cold. She even brought her own hangar to photograph the dress before I put it on! I would recommend her to anyone looking for candid shots--for a wedding or for portraits (we also had our engagement photos with her, which was tons of fun!!).

We met with many photographers... some that we really hesitated about and one that we felt could be the one. We trusted our gut and chose Renee Michele because of her artistic ability and warm personality. She asked questions about us and our personalities so that she could tailor our sessions to reflect who we are. On our wedding day, Renee was a calming force. We knew she would take good care of us. There was a lot going on in Washington, DC, on this particular day, but we trusted that she would be there on time (she was early) and that she would capture the day beautifully. She is very creative and thinks outside of the box. When we received our photos (engagement and wedding), we were surprised by and very pleased with the photos she took. Her photography is classic and I know that 20 years from now we will look at our wedding photos and NOT say to ourselves,"what were we thinking?"

Renee's photos are absolutely STUNNING. She and her assistant were fabulous the entire day. They were never in the way, were flexible and accommodating when we made last minute requests for group photos. They were excited that we wanted the family dogs in the photos too and made the experience more fun. The quality of Renee's prints is amazing. The DVD / High resoulution disk is great because we can edit and continue printing our own photos. We can't wait for our album to arrive because we know that will be spectacular too. Renee Michele Photography is the best! We will be going back to her for future photos too.

My daughter and I hired Renee to photography her wedding (7/24/2010). Being a bit of a photog wantabe, I thought this would be one task I could get involved in and stay out of trouble. Luckily my daughter is a planner and started searching for photographers months in advance. After talking to a few, we met with Renee, reviewed her work and quickly decided to book with her. We never questioned our decision. Despite my daughter's nervousness, I had Renee shoot some engagement photos – both because “Dad” wanted them and I wanted the couple to get to know Renee. Not only did we get some great shots, but my daughter and fiancé had a great time doing it! This just confirmed we made the right choice. Despite record breaking temperatures, the wedding went off as planned and Renee and her assistant did a fantastic job of capturing the day! We couldn’t be more pleased with the pictures – they were amazing. Renee has a wonderful, stress-free demeanor (boy, it’s no easy job) and was a joy to work with. Her professionalism and sense of humor made her a “welcomed guest” to a joyous event. I cannot recommend anyone more highly – 5 stars all the way!

There are not enough words to describe how much we loved working with Renee (and Gary...and Gladys). She's artisitc, creative and willing to always go the extra mile. When planning our engagement photos, Renee was flexible and full of suggestions. I knew what I wanted...after researching, and never had to compromise - Renee was perfect! She even got my husband to enjoy taking pictures. He enjoyed every minute ... which is a big step for someone who hates being the center of attention. I would recommend Renee for anything and everything.

Renee wa a pleasure to work with. Not only was she professional and prompt with reponses, she offered her artistic and creative talents without sacrificing my own vision of the pictures. Her ability to capture the emotions and excitement of the day are definitely reflected in my pictures. I would highly recommend Renee.

We could not have been happier with our experience. Her photos were beautiful and captured the day exactly how was hoped to remember it. She was receptive to some specific requests we had and blended everything in seamlessly with her style. She worked closely with us to schedule out the day and met each deliverable expectation she set.

Renee is an excellent photographer. We were thrilled with the photos we received. She was easy going and flexible throughout the planning process, and totally relaxed on the day of our wedding. She came up with some great ideas for various shots that turned out to be incredible when we saw the proofs. She captured so many wonderful moments without being intrusive, and made sure that we got important shots that she knew we wanted. She has an amazing eye for creating shots that tell a story of the day and instantly make us re-live all of the wonderful moments from our wedding day. We would highly recommend working with Renee, she is an exceptional photographer and we couldn't have picked a better person to capture all of the memories from our special day.

Renee (and her husband/assistant) are amazing! She was a joy to work with, and took lots of time to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted. She traveled to Philadelphia for our wedding and took lots of time to get to know our venue before beginning to shoot. Her photos were even better than we had hoped- and the album she made is amazing. Everything she does is highly individualized and it shows. Everyone who looks at our pictures is stunned by how wonderful they are, how well they captured the day, and, most of all, how much they reflect both of our personalities. I recommend her to everyone!

We could not of had a better photographer for our wedding. Despite our time crunch and family needs, she exceeded all of our expectations by providing us with timeless, beautiful photos that captured every memory of the day. I felt like I did not see her and her assistant the entire day, but by the end she told me they took over 1600 shots...I was amazed! Our pictures alone tell the story of our wedding, portraying all the words and emotions of the day. Renee Michele is wonderful to work with in her ability to be extremely accommodating and very thorough all while being so nice and pleasant. In addition, her package prices are the most reasonable in the area...believe me, I did my research!

Renee was a fabulous photographer! When we were looking for photographers, we really wanted someone who was relaxed and able to capture candid shots. For us, it was important to capture the feeling of our wedding as well as some of the portraits that we wanted - but we didn't want to be sitting for pictures for hours! She and her assistant were able to capture all of the details and we loved our wedding photos! In fact, we just sat down with her to review our wedding album layout and not only did she tell the story of our day beautifully but she also had some great recommendations re: extra pictures to incorporate into the album that I didn't even think of selecting. Renee is fantastic and worth talking to!

Renee was one of my favorite vendors to work with. Not only was she lovely and easy going, but an amazing professional and so talented!! My favorite moments from the wedding, the ones three years l still look back at with fondness, were those she captured without my even knowing she had done so.

My wedding was yesterday and Renee was great! She arrived early and got to work quickly. I can't wait to see the fantastic pictures she took. She has great ideas and made she she took all the pictures I requested. The photo guest book she made was awesome and long! She is a tad on the expensive side, but her photography is amazing and I personally feel that if you want great pictures than the price is right.

They say the photographer is important...totally true, along with most of the other stuff "they say." It's a few months after our wedding and the memories fade SO fast. Renee's amazing photos mean more to me every passing day because not only are they beautiful and artistic, but she did such a fantastic job CAPTURING the emotion, the mood, the scene, etc. My husband and I interviewed 3 other photographers, but we just knew immediately after meeting with Renee that she was the one for us. Renee is very laid back, very professional, and exhibits the perfect balance of telling you what she needs to get the best pictures, but also not directing or interjecting in a way that makes you feel like a prop at your wedding. Our formal portraits were easy and natural, and I never even noticed her the rest of the night. She must have been all over the place judging by the pictures, but I never saw her! We couldn't be happier with our photos. A perfect blend of artistic shots, formal portraits for the parents, photo-journalistic style, color, black and white - all of it. The hardest part is selecting the best! I really appreciated having her assistant there too. Not only did she help make the formal portraits more efficient, but she captured some scenes from different angles giving us a more complete capture of the scene. Working with Renee was easy too. She is responsive to emails. And I am really satisfied that her package gets you a lot for your money. I'd recommend Renee to any of my friends and family - she's a talented photographer and a great person to work with on such a crazy day. Thanks Renee!

Not only was I a bride, but I also work as a meeting and event planner for several associations. That said, I had a unique perspective in working with all of my vendors. I still remember the car ride back after we met with Renee--I was so impressed with not only her professionalsim, but also her artistic view and her flexibility. We didn't have to have just black and whites, or just candids, or "just anything". She has an amazingly unique eye that is subtly artistic. During the wedding she proved to be a calm force. Please don't ever think this is not important--when I found myself getting keyed up over some outdoor shots she looked me right in the eye with an "I've got it, we're good" and I knew I was in the best hands. At the reception she was a virtual ghost, simply blending in with my guests snapping shots. Post wedding she put together the most amazing book for us. It was so easy for us to go through and she used her artistic eye to tell our story with photos we chose. Working with Renee was amazing. She was slightly out of our price point, but I am so glad we went with her. She caputered our day in such a special way and was totally worth the few extra dollars. I would reccomend her to anyone.

Our wedding pictures are exceptional! Gary and Renee captured the joyous spirit, the important moments and the meaningful details in delightful ways without being given a list. However, we wish we had given them direction on the sequence of the portraits. If they had taken the wedding party first and the bride and groom afterward, we would have been able to enjoy some of the cocktail hour. We also wish we had given them a list of alumni/ae groups -- we dropped that ball. Overall, we are thrilled. Mother-of-the-Bride.

Having just received my proofs for the wedding, I am ecstatic about this choice of photographer. Gary and Renee, the two lead photographers, are awesome to work with (it felt more like hanging out), have interesting ideas for images, and are extremely professional. Their experience and love for their field was obvious and the final product worth the investment. You have to be prepared for a crowd with them as it's a team of 4 - if that will bother you consider it first. But you barely notice - I did not find it a big deal - and the quality is outstanding.
