Patti Kake

I absolutely LOVED Patti Kake's cake for my wedding! Since our wedding was October 29th, we had touches of halloween throughout our reception, with the cake being the main attraction. We had a purple and black halloween style cake in mind that I had given a picture example of. Let me just say, the cake came out better than I had ever imagined, and better than the picture! It had every element I requested, and they had also built in a boarding on the top to support our heavy skeleton cake topper. Patti Kake also allowed me to come in the day before the wedding to view the cake. They delivered it in the rain and sleet and still managed to keep it in immaculate condition for the day of. I had almost as many compliments on the cake as I had on my dress/appearance! We had chocolate with chocolate mousse, lemon with lemon filling, and orange with orange marmalade mixed with buttercream filling, and all three layers tasted great! The only thing I would say would be that they could have used a big thicker of a layer of filling, but otherwise an excellent vendor and an excellent cake!

To anyone looking for a fantastic wedding cake, Patti Kake is the place to go. My wedding cake was beautiful and it tasted delicious! When you meet with Patty and see all of the cakes they have done in the past, you will be blown away. Some of the cakes are just over the top. We choose a more traditional looking wedding cake but it was so pretty. I received a lot of comments from people about good the cake tasted.

I am not a cake person but our wedding cake was the best cake that I have tasted. Thank you to Mrs. Pat for taking care of all the details with the cake.

WRONG COLORS USED ON MY CAKE. CAKE WAS TO BE ROYAL BLUE TRIM. CAME TO ME WITH BABYBLUE TRIM. CAKE WAS ALSO DAMAGED IN TRANSIT. NO MONEY BACK OFFERED AND ARGUED THAT THE COLOR WAS RIGHT. WAS NOT EVEN CLOSE.

I had an amazing experience with this vendor! We went in, chose our cake and didn't have to think about it. It turned out how I wanted it and tasted awesome. We did a buttercream( I hate fondant), and the price was the same as if we had ordered from Lauers Grocery store....and we got to customize and get what we wanted for that great price. We are going to be getting birthday cakes and such from them from now on!

We were referred to Patti by our caterer. My husband was hooked after one sampling. We ordered a birthday cake from her before the wedding just to be sure and it was a hit. We got yellow butter cake and it was out of this world. Patti also worked with us on the design of our cake and met our specific requests with no question. It turned out exactly how we wanted.

The cake was pretty and delicious but wrong! We gave her a photo of exactly what we wanted with each layer along with cake choices. The cake that was delivered was not what we ordered. Both the middle and lower layer was marble, lower layer was suppose to be orange. I was unable to contact her by phone the week prior to the wedding to ensure that everything would be correct.

The cake tasted great. It looked really nice. My only complaint was that Patti was not dressed very professionally when we went to go visit. She looked sloppy but not because she had been making cakes all day. It was an early meeting time. But overall, I was satisfied with the cake and it's taste.The cake was included in the price of the hotel/reception site.

When I walked into the shop.. I was taken by the creativity. I spotted my cake design ..right from the wall. Her service was the best. The cakes are very economical. Patti was very respondant to my wedding and event coordinator. Everything went well, and most of all the cake was the best tasting cake I have ever tasted. I had so many compliments on the cake. I had to make sure I got the top for our anniversary, because it was going.

Patti was wonderful. She made our day so special. We did cupcakes for our wedding and they were great. She made the cupcakes look so elegent and wonderful. You can't beat her prices!!! Everyone loved the cake!!!

Plucked this vendor right out of the phone book, because I could get no feedback from anyone on a good baker. So I made an appointment and went to Patti's house where she works out of. She was very friendly and knowledgable, and within the hour I had my cake ordered and was good to go! Very easy and stressfree! The day of the event the cake looked fabulous and tasted awesome. It was just as I imagined it in my head. I chose a traditional white cake with a chocolate mousse filling and it was great!I would recommend to anyone...

I put down the deposit for cake with the full understanding the balance was due 2 weeks before the wedding. I mailed in my payment and was called a week before the wedding asking if I knew the balance was due. I got super nervous because I thought I would not have a cake. We got that all squared away. I ordered a 3 tier round butter cake! I had so many samples of that butter cake and it was really good! When we fed each other cake, it was gross! That cake tastes nothing like the samples I received! I thought it was me, but when my mom and bride's maids tastes it, they felt the same way! Disaster!

In 2005 I was searching the Bridal Guide while I was inside of one of it's featured baker's. The cost for the style of my wedding cake literally had me in tears. I went outside and sat in my car with my cousin for about 20 minutes, she told me to get my self together everything would work out. We again started searching through the book when we came across a cake shaped like a Castle. This was it because my theme was fairytale. I called Mrs. Patti Kake and asked when I could visit and she said where are you coming from? I replied Catonsville MD. She asked if I could come now and gave us directions. We headed down 695, and at this time she was still at her former bakery from her addition as a bakery on her home. She was very professional, detiled, and sensitive to my needs. At this time we were even eligible for a promotion of a free Groom's cake. She gave us a sample which was moist and flavorful. We booked Mrs. Pat the same Day. Her work was gorgeous, the cake was very tasteful, and the budget was affordable. Everyone at my wedding in August of 2006 was in aww. They just kept saying how tasty, and beautiful the cake was. It even lit up like a castle! Since then Mrs. Pat has been the only person that my Family and I use for our dessert needs. she since then has made our Aniverssary cakes, My God-daughters sweet 16 cake in 2006. She did a Clapboard Cake and a Chocolate dipped Strawberry cake for my Husband's 40th birthday in 2008, by this time she was in her store front which is located close by. She made my Graduation cake from Medical School, and will be making my upcoming 3D purse cake for my ladies night out this coming June (2010). What I am trying to tell you I guarantee that you will be satisfied and delighted from your Pattik Kake experience, just as we have for the last 5 years. Thanks again Mrs. Pat!!! We Love You!!!

Saw the tropical cake at the bridal show and knew it was the one. We had a Luau theme reception and she made a beautiful cake with the waterfall. She didn't charge extra for having a different flavor on each layer!
