Jay and I could not have been more happy and pleased to have had our wedding ceremony and reception at Kent Manor Inn. Ashley was great throughout the entire planning process. I certainly bombarded her with multiple requests and questions! Ashley's flexibility was awesome- "no" was never an answer! She really helped us accomplish everything we wanted! The tasting was so fun and the Chef too was so flexible and accommodated our special requests- that meant a lot! The day of, the food was amazing! Our guests especially loved the lobster mac and cheese! Also on the day of, we had Ashley and Danielle with us the entire time. Danielle was a rockstar. I really wanted someone to tell me where I needed to be and at what time- and Danielle made it happen! Kent Manor was a PERFECT location for us. We essentially had the entire place to ourselves! It made spending time with our family and friends intimate and exclusive. We really could not have been happier.... We would recommend Kent Manor Inn for sure to anyone and plan to visit for our one year anniversary!

The Kent Manor Inn, Ashley, and Danielle, made my daughter's wedding absolutely perfect. The venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic, and the service was impeccable. Several of our guests told us it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever attended. The rooms were charming and NOTHING was too much trouble for the staff. They made the entire wedding process flow so easily that we were "stress free" during the entire event. The entire week-end was first class, from the beautiful rehearsal dinner on the deck, to the charming cereemony on the water, to the first class reception in the Garden House. I would recommend the Inn to ANYONE in need of a first class venue with a first class staff to put it all together. Absolutely FABULOUS.

AMAZING! Our daughters wedding was spectacular!!! We enjoyed every moment of it. This venue is gorgeous, the food is great, the staff is wonderful and especially Ashley, the wedding planner, she accomodated our every need. Three weeks prior to the wedding we realized that the "Ride Across America" was happening the same day and would shut down the Bay Bridge to normal traffic for at least an hour, which happened to be the same hour of my daughters wedding. Ashley helped us to set up accomodations for guest arriving alot earlier as to avoid the bridge closure. Coffee, tea, cookies, water whatever we asked for she provided. Not one guest was delayed because of the closure and the willingness of Kent Manor to accomodate them. Just cant say enough good things, but Thank you for the beautiful memories. Karen (mom)

I want to thank Ashley and the wonderful staff at the Historic Kent Manor Inn for helping to make my wedding weekend a memorable event for all who attended. My hopes of bringing both families together in a beautiful, peaceful, waterfront setting came true on November 5-7, due to the dedication and professionalism of the Inn’s Staff. Throughout the entire planning process, they were there to lend their guidance and support. The Inn’s 24 rooms were filled to capacity with friends and family members of the my husband and I. This provided us with an experience that was priceless. The warmth and coziness of the inn created a wonderful atmosphere for us to socialize and relax. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their stay—they were sad to see it end. And the wedding day…PERFECT! From the early morning continental breakfast, to the exchange of wedding vows at the gazebo, to the amazing hors d’oeuvres and dinner entrees served at the reception in the Garden House--every detail came together for a dream-come-true wedding! Thanks again to everyone at the Kent Manor Inn for giving us these wonderful memories.

Kent Manor has an absolutely beautiful setting for both the ceremony and reception. We got married right at the beautiful gazebo along the water. The night before at the rehearsal we realized that it would be very hot for the guests to sit in the sun, so the Manor accommodated us by moving all the chairs to the other side of the gazebo so that the guests were sitting in the shade of the trees. They also moved a table around in the Garden House when we looked at it and realized that we didn't like the way it looked. The food is absolutely WONDERFUL and we got so many complements on it from our guests. They were flexible and I was able to personalize our wedding so that it was exactly what I had always dreamed of. The manor itself has a personality of its own which really added to the abidance of our wedding.

The Kent Manor Inn did a "first class job", very elegant. We held the wedding at the church so only used the site -- The Garden House --for the reception. Part of the package includes the bridal suite for the bride and groom for their wedding night. Their event coordinator - Ashley - was wonderful thoughout the process. The location is absolutely beautiful, combining the charm of historic Maryland with the charm of the water. The grounds include a small bridge and a dock in addition to the historic manor house. All of which are available for pictures. Our photographers took some incredible pictures. The reception was a plated dinner for 100 people in the Garden House. It was a nice fit, too many more and it would have been crowded. We personally met with the chef several months earlier and he worked with us to create a custom menu at a reasonable price. The presentation of the food was wonderful and everyone said the food tasted great. At our request they put a cold basket of food in the bridal suite for the bride and groom to eat after the reception.

Ashley and her crew were outstanding and i highly recomend them to everyone ! My favorite part was how faithful the catering staff was to serving us drinks and food during the photos ! I had requested that some food and drinks be brought over, since we would miss most of the cocktail hour doing photos. The staff was wonderful in continually bringing over food and drinks for everyone, and even following us as we changed photo shoot locations ! Our bridal party was VERY appreciative ! Everything about Kent Manor was just amazing and the staff was just outstanding !

Ashley and the staff at kent manor made my day truly stress free. Ashley was also a great person to plan with as she was very patient with my decision making! We got married on a Thursday in July and our garden ceremony was perfect. perfect weather, perfect view. Every one of my guests raved about how much they loved the place. As the bride, I was getting my hair and make-up done all day in the bridal suite and found that being at kent manor kept me calm and relaxed, even when there was an issue with my rented linens. Ashley took care of it for me! Lastly, having the house filled with guests allowed the wedding to continue. My dad got to spend time with his friends on the balcony, some sat on the front porch, some hung out by the gazebo. The food was also amazing! The perfect venue!

Ashley and the team at Kent Manor Inn were a delight to work with for our wedding this past weekend. The food was fantastic and they went out of their way to make sure all our guests were taken care of (some had allergies). Guests had nothing but great things to say about the venue and the food. We chose the venue for many reasons: it was waterfront (to Thompson Creek), easy to get to from Route 50, the reception venue was unique and beautiful on its own so did not need additional decor, and the chef got rave reviews from the Washington Post. Ashley - Thank you for all your help.

We got marred at the Kent Manor Inn in June 2004, and seven years later, people still tell us how beautiful our wedding was! I love that the venue provided all the catering, chairs, serving staff, linens and place settings, so that we didn't have to fuss with those details. The food was very good (from what I can remember!) and was presented nicely. But the setting was probably the major selling point for me. We were wed in front of a white gazebo with the creek behind us, and all the guests sat on a lush green lawn, facing a beautiful waterway surrounded by reeds and trees. Then, we all moved inside to the glass-sided reception building - no one had to drive away from the location and try to find their way to a reception. In between the wedding and reception, serving staff brought pink lemonade and fresh strawberries to the lawn for all the guests and wedding party, while more pictures were taken. All of our outdoor pictures are so pretty. The only drawback was the bridal suite inside the Inn, which was old-fashioned (maybe they have redecorated since then?) and wasn't my taste. We gave the suite to our pastor and his wife and spent the night in D.C. ourselves. I absolutely loved getting married here and definitely recommend it.

This place was amazing. I would recommend this venue to any bride who wants a romantic setting by the water. We had so much fun and the customer service was fa nominal as was the food. They really attended to your needs and on your wedding day and even after the wedding day that is the Wedding Coordinator Daniell would ask do you need anything, even though she had two other weddings the next day. Ann in the front was great at attending to our needs as well and if someone wasn't around she would be there to help us and answer any questions. We went Kyaking the next day and my husband fell in and they dried my husbands clothes for him. The only thing I didn't like was that they took on too much at once and I think their was too much commotion and it was too hectic. If you do decide to have a wedding there I would recommend you do it on a Friday as it is 3,000 dollars cheaper and your not worrying about rushing because of another wedding. You would also be able to have time to yourselves and with your family and able to relax more if you do yours on a Friday.

Had an amazing wedding thank you to KMI, Ashley, Danielle, and the many staff members that helped coordinate our big day. We booked a year and a half in advance to reserve our date and that was a big relief, knowing we had such a beautiful place waiting for us. We visited close to 30 venues in the MD/VA/DC area but fell in love with KMI's natural beauty, history, and serenity (which also made for AWESOME wedding pictures!). Everyone we worked with was very accommodating and flexible and made our day all that we wanted it to be. All of our guests are still talking about the beauty and perfection of the inn. Ashley answered countless questions and provided advice as needed to help with our planning. Some of the special touches provided on your wedding day aren't laid out and leave you hoping all goes smoothly... but in the end it went perfectly and this details added that much more to the uniqueness and memories as well. Danielle was a very calming day-of coordinator and moved everything through the process on schedule, as planned. My only complaint would be that it was sometimes difficult to get timely answers to questions... but I have to admit that goes both ways since I was busy with planning and didn't always provide the fastest answers either! And it isn't cheap... but what wedding is these days?! It was so worth it!

Venue: It's gorgeous. The website pictures don't do it justice. With Thompson Creek as a background, the gazebo, pier, and huge tree make for beautiful pictures. (During the ceremony, we had one jetski start up with a "woohoo!" but otherwise, no noise from the water). The cocktail hour is uphill from the water, under trees just outside the Garden House. My guests went on the porch of the Inn. The Garden House is beautiful inside: high ceilings, chandelier, built-in dance floor, Chivari chairs, yellow accents. Air-conditioned and very nice bathrooms. Fire capacity is 150 and that's a tight fit. Just keep in mind getting there can be tricky in the summer with Bay Bridge traffic (we didn't have any problems on a Saturday night though!) Before: First of all, the Kent Manor must release dates in a very logical order--they had my wedding date 13 months before! (Most places in Baltimore are all booked about 18 months out). Ashley is very nice to work with and very hands-off, so for me it was helpful to have a planner to ask questions. Food: It's nice having a restaurant there so you can see the venue at any time. The food is delicious and the menu is extensive. The tasting was lots of fun. Our guests commented on how good everything was. Plus, they bring you cocktail hour food during your pictures so you DO get to eat! We did a plated meal and were served first--again, we ate our fill. You can bring in your own cake and there is no cake-cutting fee. Rooms: The Kent Manor has about 20 guest rooms, and you reserve a block of these at locked-in rates. It was pricey, but convenient for grandmas. The bridal suites are beautiful and balconies make for great pictures! Breakfast the next morning was welcome. Day-of: Everyone is so nice! The hotel staff were accommodating to all our requests, from plates for our Wawa hoagies to extra water for guests. Even though there was another wedding the next day, I felt as if everyone was focused on my day. My vendors came about 3 hours early and started setting up without any issues. My photographer was overwhelmed with choices for picture locations. The Kent Manor provided many tables for the ceremony and various places for the reception. There was the perfect amount of food, both during the cocktail hour and reception. Our servers were personable, professional, and funny. In short, I HIGHLY recommend the Kent Manor! My wedding was perfect and the KMI was a large part of that.

As it was my second marriage, and I was marrying a widow, we wanted just a discrete small gathering for our reception. The Kent Manor was responsive to our every need without being intrustive. We were given a private dining room and had a time of wine and appetizers before the meal. The wine list was exceptional and the food was scrumptous. We were very happy to have chosen this venue.

Lovely venue and very helpful. Worked with me for a slightly different type of wedding party. Everyone was very helpful and service during the party was great. The only slight mishap was I was missing items from tables that were packed up following the party. I would highly recommend Kent Manor to anyone looking for a wonderful place for ceremony and reception.

The Inn was a beautiful setting and the food was amazing. The staff was willing to work with us on a near daily basis during our planning, and they were pretty responsive to questions and concerns that we had. We had many compliments on the grounds and the inn itself.
