Laura is very personable and did a great job improvising during our ceremony to make sure we closed with the church bell chimes. She was always prompt responding to email and was very helpful designing our ceremony. We would have been clueless without her!

Rev. Laura Cannon officiated our April 2012 wedding. My husband and I had our initial meeting with her a few months before the wedding and we both felt very at ease around her and knew immediately that we picked the right person to officiate our wedding. We both knew that we didn't want a long, drawn-out ceremony, but other than that were didn't know where to start in planning our ceremony. During our planning meeting, Rev. Laura suggested different ideas and passages to use and also suggested a love letter/wine box ceremony (something I had never heard of before) as an extra addition. She didn't push us into using this or that and even let us review and make little changes to the ceremony before it was final. The ceremony she put together for us was beautiful and really captured us as a couple. I highly recommend using her as your wedding officiant.

Rev. Laura was perfect for our wedding! We had contacted her after a friend of ours canceled. We had two weeks to find an Officiant. We asked Rev. Laura and even with the short notice she was able to prepare a ceremony that was well thought out and flowed beautifully!

Laura was WONDERFUL! I met her at a bridal show and couldn't wait for my husband to meet her, right after our meeting with her as we were getting in our car he said "she's really cool". He really enjoyed talking its her as did I. She accommodated everything we wanted. She's very down to earth and makes you feel comfortable, she gave us the opportunity to have things our way and just gave us helpful suggestions. The day of our wedding was wonderful, she was just as great as we thought, we had so many compliments from our guests of how they liked her ceremony. I would recommend her to every bride I could, I've already given her name to a few friends. Thank you Laura!

Rev Laura was such a pleasure to work with! When we started looking for officiants we were nervous. My fiancé and I had different religious traditions growing up as well as different practices today and were uncertain what kind of ceremony would feel like a genuine reflection of both of us. Rev Laura was very friendly and sincere; she took the time to get to know us and our story. Then she worked with us to blend different traditions and backgrounds into a cohesive ceremony that reflected us as a couple while remaining true to our roots and honoring our backgrounds. She helped us create our perfect ceremony (and was very flexible with some last minute tweaks on our part)! We were both so pleased with our experience – our wedding ceremony ended up being everything we had hoped for! We would highly recommend her to our friends and family!

We really feel like Rev. Laura went above and beyond our expectations. She is a very genuine and lovely person. Our experience is as follows: We contacted Rev. Laura very last minute - just over a week before the ceremony! She was very flexible and supportive. We didn't have a clear idea of what we were looking for in terms of a ceremony so she asked us lots of questions about us, and our relationship and came up with a very personal and touching ceremony. She even sent us the outline and gave us complete freedom to edit whatever we wanted. The day of the wedding, she was very patient with us as the groom arrived late (!!). She helped him pin on his boutonnière and laid out the guest favors for us to help out the panicked bride! She delivered a heartwarming ceremony and was a huge hit with our guests. She helped us to display our love to our guests and was very focused on making the ceremony personal and about us. We loved it, and we most definitely recommend Rev. Laura Cannon as an Officiant for any wedding.

Rev. Taryn Storck - one word: AMAZING! We wanted a small, intimate wedding ceremony that emphasized love, family, spirituality, and a bit of tradition. She listened, wrote notes, asked questions. A few days after meeting w/ her, she emailed me with a draft of the ceremony. Can you talk about efficiency? She's a great writer and reading the ceremony, I was able to envision what my ceremony would be like. I knew I was in good hands with Rev. Taryn. She made my ceremony planning seamless and effortless. Thank you so much for a great ceremony!

Josh put so much time and thought into our wedding ceremony that I cannot say enough about how lucky we were to have him as our officiant. He was always open for questions and spent a lot of time helping us realize what we always hoped and envisioned for our wedding day. Josh is a charismatic, sentimental and serious officiant who lent both humor and brevity to a very romantic and emotional day!
He is highly recommended!

I could not be happier to have had Rev. Laura Cannon conduct our wedding ceremony! She was recommended to me by another very happy bride and compared to the feedback I received from her, Rev. Laura met and EXCEEDED my expectations!
Not only was Rev. Laura a pleasure to work with right from the beginning but she kept a professional, yet very personable and responsive attitude throughout our wedding planning process. We worked together to really capture what my husband and I wanted in our ceremony and Rev. Laura delivered! On the big day she was prompt, attentive and definitely made me feel at ease at the altar. Our guests were equally engaged with the ceremony which was a huge plus for my husband and I as we didn't want the ceremony to feel redundant.
I could not be happier with how our ceremony went and Rev. Laura did a fantastic job guiding us through it all. I would HIGHLY recommend her to others time and again!

I am so lucky to have been married by Reverend Laura. Working with her was a wonderful experience, from my first email note to her all the way to our final wedding day. She is warm, friendly and always responsive and professional. We are from New York/New Jersey and made a special trip a few months before the wedding to have our consultation with Rev. Laura. She really took the time and care to get to know us, our quirks and our inside jokes and then even worked it all into the ceremony. She drafted our ceremony draft within 24 hrs of our consultation - talk about fast! We barely had to make any changes to it. I got married all the way at the Hyatt Chesapeake hotel in Cambridge MD and Rev. Laura made the drive all the way from Ellicott city for the event. She was on time and was so calm and took great care of us. I cried through the whole event b/c it was so touching and beautifully written. Rev. Laura (who is a Julianne Moore lookalike by the way!) is worldly and embraces diverse cultures. I can't imagine being married by anyone else!

Tim was great! He worked with us to design a ceremony that worked for us and our families. This was not an easy task since we opted not to get married in a church (insert fainting grandmothers and gasps here). We aren't very religious, but we are both from religious families so finding the right balance for the big day was crucial. Tim totally rocked the ceremony and everyone was happy. With his assistance we were able to have a ceremony that was meaningful and a little silly (our toy lizard that travels the globe with us made an appearance...he was the unofficial ring bearer!) which is exactly what we wanted. Many of the guests commented about the ceremony later and the general consensus was that it was just right - not too short, not too long, and totally what a wedding is supposed to be about.
We are so thrilled Tim was part of our day!

We chose Rev. Laura to officiate our wedding and could not have been more pleased. We appreciate the compliments we've received on our ceremony, but are mostly thankful for how heartfelt it was; such an amazing gift! From our initial email to our intro phone call and meeting, we were able to see how to down to earth, kind and professional Rev. Laura is. She is very responsive and takes a real interest in knowing you. We could not have asked for more! Recommend!

Rev. Laura Cannon created a picture perfect ceremony for my husband and I. We knew as soon as we met Rev. Laura that she was the only officiant for us. We were married only 3 months after our engagement and Rev. Laura worked wonderfully around our busy planning schedule. She created an atmosphere that wowed all of our guests. Her expertise shines through her work and her friendly personality is very easing to the hectic feeling of wedding planning.

We are so happy that we chose Rev. Laura Cannon to be the officiant for our wedding at Four Seasons Hotel in Washington, DC. When we first met Rev. Laura, we immediately felt comfortable with her because she was very patient in answering our detailed questions and listening to our concerns. Two months before the wedding day we met with her for over one hour to plan the ceremony. She developed a custom ceremony for us. We received numerous compliments about Rev. Laura from friends and family (I grew up Catholic, my husband Methodist). Many of our guests assumed we knew her from college or attended church with her regularly--because the ceremony and her approach was so warm and personal. Rev. Laura is the best--she's articulate, knows how to engage and communicate with a large crowd, and has a peaceful way about her--you can't go wrong choosing her to be your officiant.

Rev. Laura was a wonderful officiant, I highly recommend her. I first met her at a bridal show, early on in my wedding planning, and just felt an immediate connection. She is open, warm, and friendly. For me, what was really helpful is that she is a non-denominational minister, since my husband and I are different religions (Jewish & Catholic). She is flexible on the type of ceremony she provides, and doesn’t push you in one direction or another, just whatever works best for you. This is so important, since the ceremony is the most personal part of your wedding. We met with her in advance of the wedding, and discussed what we would like included in the ceremony, and she also spent time getting to know us so she could personalize the ceremony. She followed up the meeting with a draft of the ceremony, and we worked back and forth via email until it was just perfect. She also responded almost immediately to all emails, which is so important to a stressed out bride!
Our guests all commented on how personal the ceremony was, and how wonderful her personality was to add that welcoming feeling to all guests. She elevated to superstar status during the unity candle lighting when the flame was accidentally extinguished, she seamlessly relit the flame and put everyone at ease! You will be very happy if you have her officiate at your ceremony.

Taryn was absolutely phenomenal. Starting the process, we weren't sure exactly what we wanted, but we knew that we wanted a spiritual but non-denominational personalized ceremony. Taryn guided us through the process, met with us several times, and eloquently incorporated everything we wanted in the ceremony. Many guests told my parents that it was one of the most touching and personal wedding ceremonies they had witnessed. We would recommend her in a heat-beat!!

Rev. Laura Cannon was amazing! Multiple wedding guests came up to my husband and I during the reception saying our wedding ceremony was the best they had ever been a part of. Lots of them even thought we had known Rev. Laura for a long time, too! My husband and I especially appreciated her great ideas and friendly, accommodating personality. She made our wedding ceremony very, very special and unique. I would recommend her to anyone looking for a personalized, fun, and meaningful ceremony.
