Catering by Uptown

I must say the FOOD is AMAZING!!! No wonder they have so many awards and you will be sure to find them in any wedding magazine!! It was such a pleasure to work with Catering by Uptown. The food is amazing and I got lots of my guest saying how GREAT the Food was on my wedding day. Even the Cake was amazing and DELICIOUS!! My guests also loved how the food was presented/displayed on the plates. I definelty recommend Catering By Uptown. My parents and I definitely would like to work with Catering by Uptown again for future events. Catering by Uptown, for the million time....THANK YOU for everything.

We cannot say enough about how many comments we got on our wedding food! Soo many guests told us how it seemed like they were eating at a nice restaurant and how it wasn't the bland barely warm food they are used to at weddings! People even took pictures of our food and put them on my facebook page! The whole evening ran smoothly and the planning committee was great! Anything that we wanted they did which these days in customer service is hard to come by! The staff was soo attentive and I loved the digital website they have for out planning! Even during times that they don't normally schedule they made sure someone was there if I needed to stop to drop off stuff the week of the wedding. If we had to do it all over again we would def go with them!

Catering by Uptown is wonderful. The food was delicious and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Our day went so smooth and everyone had a wonderful time! Most people said that it was the best wedding food and cake (provided by Sugar Bakers) that they every had.

Then venue was gorgeous. The day truly was perfect. We have heard nothing but wonderful things from all of our guests. The food was delicious. We are happy that we used this company. Everyone was very accomodating.

Catering by Uptown provided the catering for our wedding. They were a delight to work with. Jeff, Darcy and Holland worked with my fiance and I over the course of a year to plan our dream wedding. They answered my questions, helped me with details and anticipated my needs and our guests' needs during the wedding. They also packed up a huge doggie bag of cake, strawberries and our meals for us to enjoy later that evening. All of our guests raved about how awesome the food was (especially the lobster bisque and the crab cakes) and how attentive Jeff and his staff were to their needs. I really can't say enough about how great Catering by Uptown was. Because of the planning services they provide, I did not have to worry about any of the details during the wedding day because I knew Jeff had my back. Working with Uptown Catering-Celebrations at the bay for our wedding was amazing, easy, and smooth. The venue itself is a piece of paradise in Pasadena; the first time I visited, I fell in love with it. Absolutely gorgeous grounds and the interior were flawlessly designed; exactly the simple elegance we were looking for. The people were professional, clearly experts in what they do, and helped us in every way we needed. The wonderful service during planning and such attentiveness the entire wedding day. The food was INCREDIBLE - our palates were starving for more the next day. Coming from a family where good food and drink is a centerpiece, Celebrations truly delivers in that respect. My husband and I paid for most of the wedding so we opted for the traditional wedding package and let me tell you, in no way are you jipped out of better quality service, food, or amenities. For the area and what you get in return for your money is absolutely astonishing. All in all, I don't have and can't think of anything I would have changed from our experience with Celebrations and its people (and I think that says something particularly when planning a wedding). The vision my husband and I had for our wedding was exceeded and it was all do to Eileen and Bob’s expert help and the amazing team of people that are at the venue. Still weeks later, our guests rave about the wedding - how beautiful the venue was, how amazing the food was, and how great the staff was. Our perfect wedding day was possible because of Jeff and his amazing staff! They went above and beyond our expectations, and paid so much attention to the details that we hadn't even considered. When planning the setup of our venue space, they had some very creative ideas, and made us feel at ease that everything was going to be taken care of. They provided the most professional service and care with our friends and family. Everyone raved about the Hors D’Oeuvres (Which the wedding party didn't miss out on, because they thoughtfully brought us a tray during our photo session). Not to mention the setup and linens in the reception room were absolutely stunning! Amazing service and quality...will refer to all of our friends and family with future events!

We looked several caterers and did quite extensive research. But it wasn’t until we happened to go to an event catered by Uptown that we made up our mind. From the initial consultation to our big day, everyone was very friendly and helpful, we were wowed by the varieties and taste of their delicious menu! Jeff was extremely professional yet very easy-going, even though he stayed in the background, many commented on his professionalism and friendliness. Many still rave about how delicious the sea bass tasted! All in all it we are happy that we made the right choice by choosing Uptown. We will definitely use them for other special events and recommend them to all our friends. Thanks Uptown! And a special thanks to Vaneska, Holland and Jeff!

I could not be happier with Celebrations at the Bay. The location was beautiful, the tent was royal, and the staff are fabulous! And the food...everyone LOVED the crab cakes along with everything else! What is most important is that everyone there sincerely wants you to have an amazing wedding. I had my wedding during Hurricane Irene (in the tent on the water) and they were SO willing to work with me. The owner even talked with us and gave us TONS of options, saying whatever we wanted to do he would do for us. We decided to keep our wedding that Saturday (just moved the time up). Peter and Chelsea (and even Holland) were there the day-of and somehow played it SO cool with a hurricane in the background. They made the best of it and re-assured me that everything was ok, so that I could enjoy the day. I felt so lucky to have chosen such a great venue. EVERYONE (from Peter, to Chelsea, to Eileen, to Holland, to Rob-the owner) were the best! This is the best venue ever!

Catering by Uptown made everything SO easy when planning my wedding. Anytime I called or emailed they were very quick to get back to me and answer any and all of my questions. Their knowledge and experience made everything run very smoothly and I loved that all I had to do was just pick and choose and they took care of the rest. On the day of, we had Pete as our coordinator and he just couldn't have been nicer. He kept everything running on schedule and was very kind and professional. Even when it started POURING down raining, he didn't break stride and actually ran back and forth from the porch where we were standing to the tent where the reception was to take place, carrying an umbrella for the wedding party as we entered. And, it wasn't just Peter- every person we interacted with at Uptown through the whole planning process was just a pleasure to speak with. THEN to top it all off, the food was, of course, fantastic! I had people coming up to me for weeks after my wedding talking about the food and how great everything tasted. It was just an awesome day.

Celebrations at the Bay is a beautiful venue. It is right on the water and the property is gorgeous. I could not have asked for a better place. Our wedding was in the tent in June and it was more than I could ask for. The ceremony site was beautiful as well you don't need any flowers because the site is already gorgeous. Service and staff was superb. They took care of everything. I had no worries the day of my wedding.

Incredible. The venue was more gorgeous than we imagined. The service was amazing. They really go out of their way to make sure the day is perfect. We had someone making sure we got food and drinks throughout the evening, even though everything went by so quickly. Our day of coordinator made sure everything went smoothly and coordinated all of our other vendors. We couldn't have asked for anything better. We used several of their recommended vendors and all were incredible. The only exception would be that we booked our hotel block at the Wingate, per their recommendation. The rooms were only ok, the hotel forgot to reserve the complimentary suites for us, and the provided shuttle to the venue did not have air conditioning. Definitely use Celebrations as your venue but don't send your guests to the Wingate!

Celebrations was great! Food was off the charts! Everyone at the wedding could not say enough about how great everything was. The views were great, everyone was very accommodating, just a very very good experience and would highly recommend. Peggi and Holland were outstanding as well!

My guests have all said that this is the best food they have ever had at a wedding! People always say that they never eat at their own wedding, but we made sure to because it's so good. Catering by Uptown also makes sure that you get a taste of everything so you don't miss a thing!

Catering By Uptown is amazing. From our first visit to our wedding day, I worked with Eileen and she is so amazing. She helped me with planning all the things I wanted to do for our wedding. Eileen was able to help me relax and not worry about anything. The food and cake was so good. All my guest said they loved the food and they had an amazing time at my wedding. My husband and I agreed upon using Catering By Uptown from the moment we went there. I am glad we picked them.

I cannot say enough good things about Catering by Uptown and The Villa in Beltsville. I had already attended another wedding done by them and knew the food would be great. What I hadn't known was how amazing the whole experience would be! From the first meeting, we were already impressed. We met with Peggy; she was so nice, helpful, and made us feel very comfortable. Unlike many other wedding venues, the people at Catering by Uptown were not at all pushy. And they didn't need to be because the place really sold itself! Our favorite thing about the location was convenience. Probably about 90% of our guests were coming from out-of-town (from all over the world). Having the hotel right next door was a huge plus. We had many guests comment on how convenient it was to walk from their hotel to the site and they liked having the ceremony and reception all at one place. It also saved us the hassle of driving from one place to another, paying for a limo, figuring out what guests would do while we were busy in between ceremony and reception, etc. We also liked that everything was included in one package price; it really took a lot of worry out of planning details of the wedding. We didn't have to hire different vendors for place settings, chair covers, centerpieces, cake, wedding coordinator; all that and more was taken care of by Catering by Uptown. Once we decided on a date and signed the contract, we were given a login for their planning website. This was helpful because I could update things as I picked different details of the wedding on my own time and I had one central place where everything was organized. The planning department people were amazing! I met with Jeff and he actually ended up being our "day of coordinator". He was perfect! There were so many choices of tablecloth and napkin colors, place settings, even the fold of the napkin. Jeff helped me put together the details to create an amazing wedding! The food was delicious! We had endless options for hors d'oeuvres and we were pleased that every guest got two different entrees, instead of having to make a choice. Having the cake included saved us money, plus the cake was as delicious as the food. Having a day of coordinator made the day run smoothly. Everything down to Joey, the waiter that was assigned to our head table, was perfect! Even months later people are still complimenting us on how fantastic our wedding was. The people at Catering by Uptown truly made the experience wonderful. We had some last minute changes to our wedding and they were so accommodating with everything! Unfortunately, my father was unable to attend the wedding due to a sudden serious illness, and Catering by Uptown made any necessary changes we had seamlessly. Once my father was feeling better and flew out to visit us months later, we were even able to coordinate a visit so he could see where the wedding took place. Jeff even "recreated" our wedding for my dad by setting up some of the place as it was the day of our wedding. It was the highlight of my dad's visit! The people at Catering by Uptown continued to amaze us, every step of the way. They really know how to put on a great wedding and we couldn't be happier with how things...

Absolutely wonderful!! From the first visit to the big day, they were helpful and flexible. The food is wonderful and the service was great. They take care of everything. We had our dinner in the tent, and even in 40 mph winds, we had a great time. I would recommend this venue to anyone

Our guests can not stop raving about the wedding. My husband and I can not thank Catering by Uptown & Celebrations at the Bay enough. It was so much more than we could have ever imagined. 6 days later & we are still floating on Cloud Nine. Best money ever spent!! Do yourself and your guests a favor, stop shopping & book your wedding with Catering by Uptown.

We cannot say enough about Catering by Uptown. Originally, my husband and I visited the company to possibly have our wedding and reception at one of their locations, but in the end elected to have it at a different site, with Uptown's catering and event service. Our catering rep, Peter, hands-down provided us with the BEST service. He hosted such a wonderful event, made us feel so special, and our guests still rave about the phenominal food and cake. We would love to get married all over again just to experience the evening again they did such a great job. Peter and the Uptown staff were professional, courteous, and seemed truly happy to make our day memorable. Peter rolled with the craziness our ceremony/reception site handed us and eased us out of any stressful situations. The wait staff always made sure my husband and I had eaten the appetizers, offered to bring us a glass of wine when needed, and all around were wonderful. The food is just phenominal! We thank Uptown over and over for our wonderful day!
