I hired Kathy from Blend to do the makeup for my wedding day. I was so impressed at the trial that I also asked her to do the makeup for my engagement photos. I felt comfortable with her right away and she really listened to my wishes for a natural look. She travels to you, which is another great benefit of working with her! Kathy is incredibly nice, upbeat and easy to work with, and she's an exceptional makeup artist. On my wedding day, she provided makeup services for myself, my mom, my grandmother, and three of my bridesmaids. Everyone looked beautiful, and I received several compliments on how stunning I looked. I'm 100% sure the reason for that was Kathy's remarkable makeup artistry. I highly recommend...

Not only is Ryan one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet, she is an excellent make up artist! She was very professional, easy to coordinate with and was so flexible. She did an amazing job on me, my bridesmaids and my mom - everyone looked so gorgeous and their make up stayed on the entire night! I would not hesitate to hire Ryan for your wedding day. Marquia was my makeup artist and let me tell you, she was AMAZING. I highly recommend her and her company. She was SO professional throughout the whole process and so much fun to hang out with! I had her come to the hotel suite to do makeup for myself, my mom and the bridesmaids. She made everyone looking absolutely stunning. I also asked her company for a recommendations for a hair stylist, they gave me a list in the area. They were great recommendations and I ended up going with one! She is worth every penny and is guaranteed to do an amazing job. I loved her!!!!!

Ryan was so wonderful! She was so sweet and made me feel so comfortable and my makeup looked amazing. My makeup really looked better than it ever had before in my life and Ryan was such a calming presence on a very stressful day. At the last minute, I decided I wanted something a little different than what we did in our trial. I was nervous about the last minute switch, but I needn't have worried. Ryan understood exactly what I wanted and executed it flawlessly. Everyone was complimenting me on my makeup all night. She did a beautiful job on everyone. I also was very nervous about how my mom would feel about her make up because she had never had it done before. Ryan made my mom feel so comfortable and her makeup looked amazing. I loved Ryan! She was the sweetest person and made me feel so comfortable. She offered to drive to my house for my trial and was on time and professional the day of the wedding. She finished my mom’s makeup, my sisters, one of my bridesmaids, and my makeup in two hours. It looked amazing! I didn’t want to look too "done up" but still wanted to look flawless and girly. Her pricing was also very reasonable compared to everyone else that I looked at. I highly recommend her!

I used Ryan from Blendevent D.C for my wedding 11/5/11. Ryan was AMAZING! She did my makeup exactly how I wanted it and all of my bridesmaids and sisters who can be very picky loved their makeup. They were still talking about her a few days later saying what a great job she did and how they all would use her or recommend her to others looking for makeup artist in the D.C area. Marquia from Blend is great! I knew I wanted airbrush makeup for my wedding, and after reading a lot of reviews, I contacted Blend. Marquia came to my house for a trial, and she was very knowledgable, friendly, and accomodating, and was very willing to try different things to make sure I was happy. On my wedding day, she came right to our wedding suite, and did makeup for me, all 7 of my bridesmaids, and she even made time to squeeze my mom in at the last minute. She is very easy going (always refreshing to have a calming influence around on a wedding day!) , and all the bridesmaids really enjoyed having their makeup done, and they looked absolutely stunning. Everyone was commenting on how great the makeup was. I've already recommended her to several people.

Ryan was one of the best decisions we made for the wedding!! As many other brides will attest, planning a wedding is one of the most stressful things one will go through. Many things will go as planned, but most things will not. Ryan was one of the few things that exceeded our expectations and sailed smoothly from beginning until end. Ryan is an amazing talent, and so beautiful inside and out. She was very flexible and open to my requests, both for my engagement shoots and wedding day. She did a WONDERFUL job on me AND all my girls (about 13 or more of us in total), and everything from the foundation to the lashes was perfect! Ryan calmed me down when I was anxious and made me feel (and look) so pretty. I couldn't have asked for a better make-up artist, and I would recommend her to everyone I know. She is professional, hard-working, phenomenal at what she does, but most of all, she is so down to earth, very sweet, and warm. After a horrible makeup trial only 6 weeks before my wedding, I found Blend Event on the Wedding Wire and contacted Ryan in a frenzy. I loved her work but doubted she would be able to help me in such short notice. Ryan not only responded to my email immediately, but she promised that she would find an artist that would be able to give me the look I was going for, with no more bad experiences, and she was 100% right. Maggie drove 2+ hours to our wedding, and did the makeup for 10 girls including myself- and everyone looked absolutely flawless. She was extremely talented, and we loved having her there with us. My makeup was absolutely breathtaking- I highly recommend airbrush to every bride! It looks so natural, and it lasts all day/night long! Thank You Blend, Ryan & Maggie!!!!!

I found Ryan and Blend through an internet search -- I noticed that her brides had beautiful but tasteful makeup and the prices were reasonable compared to others. The photos on her website did not lie! Ryan did an incredible job on the makeup for me, my mom, and five members of the wedding party. It was very fun to see everyone's transformations -- that was the best part -- nothing was too heavy, no one looked like a different person, just glamorous and even more beautiful versions of ourselves. That was exactly what I wanted! Ryan is also very sweet and put everyone at ease. Oh -- and the makeup literally lasted until I took it off at 2am that night, even through all that crying! Incredible! I highly recommend Ryan and Blend!

I LOVED working with Ryan! She is friendly, professional, flexible, and very talented. From the moment I first met her for my consultation, I immediately felt comfortable with her. She was able to answer my questions and alleviate any concerns I had. When the big day finally arrived, Ryan was there on time and very prepared. She did make up for me and my 3 bridesmaids. Everyone looked absolutely gorgeous and we were all so happy with Ryan and the beautiful make up she did for all of us. The way you were able to play up their attributes and also match their personalities with the style of make up was amazing! You are so talented! We all looked ourselves - only perfectly made up! Working with Ryan was one of the best wedding decisions I made. Her work is absolutely stellar. I didn't even recognize myself! I've received so many compliments on her work. She did my mother and sister's make up as well and I've never seen all of us so happy and excited as we were after she was complete. Ryan was extremely creative, flexible and friendly. I felt like I knew her forever and that she really cared about making my special day absolutely fabulous.

Kathy was wonderful to work with. I originally contacted Blend a few months before my wedding date but was still torn between the idea of booking a makeup artist vs. buying nice/new makeup and doing it myself to save money. I decided I would do my own makeup and about 2 weeks from my wedding day, I realized that the Bobbi Brown makeup I had in mind was going to cost me over $500! And I would have the pressure of doing it myself and making it look perfect. I decided to call Kathy again from Blend - only 2 weeks from my wedding day - and explained my situation. Luckily, she was available on my date! It helped that my wedding was on a Friday- I DO NOT recommend waiting that long to book an appointment. I was amazed by her willingness to help me so last minute. It was such a relief and SO worth the money. She came to me on the wedding day and was extremely professional and easy to work with. She did a great job on my makeup and I couldn't have been happier!

This is long overdue but I just have to say how amazing Ryan and her mother were for my wedding. They had 12 bridesmaids, myself, mom and mother of my husband to do in a short window of time and Ryan and her mother went out of their way to come early to our hotel and worked so hard to get us all done and we looked AMAZING. Everybody at the wedding commented on how great our make-up looked. They were both so easy going, fun and professional and I highly recommend Blend to anyone!

Ryan Krasney did my make-up for my wedding and I can honestly say that I don't think I could have looked better. I even asked her to make a small change in my eye shadow color from when she did my trial makeup to the actual day of the wedding and she knew exactly what I wanted and made me look amazing. She's truly a talented make-up artist and a real professional. She was always responsive to emails, arrived exactly on time for our appointments and listened to everything that I wanted. I have to admit that when I first started looking for a make-up artist, I was looking for an Asian MUA as I'm Korean and have had my bad experiences with people who really did not know how to do Asian women's make-up without making me look like a Geisha girl but Ryan's such a pro that it wasn't even a concern. I cannot recommend her more!

I cannot say enough good things about Ryan and the Blend team. After my original makeup girl, who was going to fly to Maryland from California, backed out I was devastated! I had about a week to find someone else. Looking at Wedding Wire, Facebook, and Google I found Blend. I emailed Ryan and while she initially told me they were completely booked she found an amazing woman (Caatanda) and they were able to help me out. I got my trial on September 1st and had my wedding on the 4th. It was the most amazing makeup I have ever seen! I have never gotten so many complements about my look and it was more than I could have ever envisioned for myself! Thank you all so much for the amazing job that was done. I want to get my make up done EVERY day from you!

From the start I knew I had found the perfect fit for my bridal makeup! As soon as Marquia told me she also does boudoir makeup, I knew she would be perfect for my 1920's theme! Marquia was super sweet and didn't make me feel nervous at all. The day of she made me feel like a princess and I can't tell you how many people came up and complemented me on my makeup, especially my eyes! The other biggest bonus, my makeup stayed put all night long! Even through 90 degree weather, sweat and tears, it did not budge!
