Me and my husband could not be happier with the service provided to us by 5iveStar Media Productions!! To be completely honest 5iveStar was the only vendor we used that we did not have some personal connection with. Every other vendor we either knew personally or through a family member so needless to say I was a little apprehensive at first. We found their company through Wedding Wire reviews and we are soo thankful we did! We were fortunate to work closely with Jim Ratiliff during the wedding planning process as he was always prompt with his responses and super helpful! So awesome that I was a little disappointed at first when I found out he wasn't shooting our wedding. However, he assured me that the videographer Steve Young would exceed our expectations. He sure did!! Steve called me the week before and from the moment I talked to him all my worries dissipated. He told me all about his previous years of experience and willingness to get to the church 3 hours early to set up (even though he had to travel over and hour and half to get there). He really did an AMAZING job!!! He worked around all of our church guidelines and all of my family and friends LOVED him!! I was a little nervous about being on camera all day but he did such a great job of capturing every moment without me even realizing he was there! He truly seemed to love his job and wanted to make sure we got all of our special day on film. Our engaged friends have already asked for his contact info and I plan to use him for all our other events in our future! I am usually not one to write reviews but I am so thankful for the wedding wires review about 5iveStar that I had to return the favor! Without these reviews I would have never been able to find a company as great as 5iveStar!!

The actual wedding is brief in comparison to the lifetime that those memories last. 5ive Star Media Productions captured the wedding in a way that was professional, creative and entertaining. Every time we watch it we feel that we are there. It sparks memories and feelings that bring us back to that day. 5iveStar videography was a great choice for our wedding! There is a lot of variability out there with pricing for videographers but we thought 5iveStar offered really reasonable packages. We interacted primarily with Jim, who did an excellent job- from his level of responsiveness, his enthusiasm, and most importantly the solid quality video we ended up with. Jim was able to capture every important moment from our big day without the camera seeming intrusive. He stayed throughout the reception, even after the photographer and coordinator had left. Our videographer Steve Young was awesome in that he really captured the 'magic' of our special day. In addition, Jim Ratliff, did an excellent job with editing our DVD. Steve was our videographer and he did a great job! He was so enthusiastic with filming, especially at the reception. He filmed everything and seemed genuinely excited for us! The company itself did an excellent job with communication, and emails were answered promptly. They made sure that we were 100% satisfied with the DVDs they sent. We would definitely recommend them!

I would highly recommend 5iveStar Media for your wedding videographer!! Our videographer was Jim, and he always responded to my questions immediately when I contacted him prior to the wedding. Their rate can not be beat, and I checked our several video companies from MD/DE area. Plus they threw in some extras for no charge. He made several copies of our video to give to our parents too. The best thing about hiring them was the quality and professionlism. Jim was able to film every important moment without making an overwhelming presence to disrupt the flow of the wedding. Without a doubt, the best vendor we hired for our special day! We will forever have more than just a memory of the love we share thanks to the amazing video.

Steve and Jim were absolutely the best to work with. My husband and I are glad that we decided to go with 5iveStar. We were married August 6th and Steve was our videographer. He had the best down to earth personality, which made him a pleasure to work with. We felt like we had been knowing him for years. He was just as excited to share in our special day as we were. He truly did an amazing job capturing the essence of our beautiful day that we will forever treasure and remember. Everyone who has viewed our video has commented on what a wonderful job he did. I cannot say enough about 5iveStar Media Productions & Jim. We were on a tight budget but I knew ones wedding day can go by in a blur so we splurged to hire a videographer for our daughter's wedding. Their web site is very informative with prices/options clearly listed unlike many of the other vendors I looked into. They were one of the most reasonably priced and very professional to work with. We chose the Prestige Package and were very happy with how the video turned out. As they filmed they did not get in the way and in fact most of the time we forgot they were there. There was an unfortunate accident where an elderly person knocked one of the standalone camera's over and broke the LED and crushed the video chip. Due to this, the video was lost on this particular camera. Jim did not have to tell me of the lost video but he did. Not only that he went way out of way (even sending the camera back to the manufacturer in Canada) to try and save the data that was lost. If he had not told me I might not have even noticed. However, he did and even though the accident was no fault of his company, he has been kind enough to compensate us with additional options. It’s rare now of days to have someone so honest and forthright to do business with. I highly recommend Jim and 5iveStar to anyone wanting to remember their special day in a special way.

I had Mike Eaves as my videographer. He was excellent! He was flexible, easy to work with, and did a great job capturing the moments at my wedding. I can't wait to receive my wedding video! I would highly recommend him and fivestar meida!!! I couldn't of been happier!

5iveStar Media Productions was the best vendor decision we made. We just received our DVD's, which were personalized with our parents photos on the back side of thier DVD case, and a wonderful photo of us on the front of the case. They also produced our highlights section to You-Tube so that we could share with our family and friends. We originally selected them based upon their low prices, but got a quality product and above excellent customer service. We selected a vendor and came away with friends, we will be inviting Jim and Steve to our 10th Anniversary Party. Thanks 5iveStar, Viv

Al and I visited with Jim at his office in Middle River early in 2010. We were married in December at Saint Margaret's in Bel Air MD and our reception was held at the Richlin Ballroom. Jim had filmed at both locations previously and was very helpful in our decision making process and even recommended our photographer and our DJ. They created a montage of our growing up and engagement photos which was shown just prior to our entry into the reception and it was a huge success. We received 3 DVD's and one Blu-Ray copy and we were thrilled with the quality. We were also very happy with the personalized cases for our parents which included their wedding photos on the back of the case. You couldn't hire a better videographer at any cost. Becky Friebe

Extremely nice team, very detailed, showed up when they said they would and stayed till the end. I loved how they captured all of the moments and cannot wait to see my video! We had fun with them! Steve was my head photographer and he always did all he could to make sure I was informed and comfortable.

5iveStar was an absolute life saver. Less than 3 weeks before my wedding, I realized I still hadnt booked a videographer. 5ive Star came up in a google search and I reached Jim right away. He was polite, professional, timely, and affordable. Jim made working with him so easy. He never tired of my calls and he was very responsive. When he thought that one of his associates wouldnt be avaialble to shoot my wedding, he said he would do it himself. Jim arrived on time and ready to. I would recommend 5ive Star to anyone and I would definitely encourage brides to give them a call and check out their info. We used 5iveStar Media Productions as our video company. They were very professional and we were extremely pleased with their work. Their office staff stayed in contact with us the entire time prior to the wedding and answered all of our questions on time and to our satisfaction. About a week prior to the wedding we were contacted by our videographer and we discussed everything about the wedding and reception. We received such a nice email after the wedding from the videographer and he walked us through the post-wedding process and assisted in selecting our music for the photo montage sections. We really enjoyed booking 5ive Star Media Productions for our wedding and can not wait to see the final video. We opted for the Prestige package which after doing tons of research was a great deal for what you got. I must admit that I was on the fence about having a videographer at our wedding until my mom told me a story about a friend of hers whose children were mesmerized watching their parent's wedding video ten years later and I thought it would be something that we could cherish for years. Steve shot the video for our wedding and was responsive to my emails and helped to plan the layout two weeks before (not to miss any of the important moments). He was super upbeat and made the day so much fun without being obtrusive. Another bonus is that all of the staff are former US military which meant a lot to me since my dad served as well.

I am so thrilled with the finished video that 5Star Media Productions shot for my Wedding Day. Their presence was not obtrusive during the ceremony, yet they got really great shots! My wedding video captured things that my husband and I missed. Its as if we attended our own wedding as guests. We have enjoyed sharing our video with family and friends. one word: AWESOME! and Steve was so much fun to work with... I can't wait to see what the video looks like! Major Selling Point: LOVE that you only have to pay a deposit for services and can pay the balance after the wedding/honeymoon once you've settled back down to reality.

We contracted 5iveStar Media to film our wedding at the Dahlgren Chapel at Georgetown University and our reception at the Four Seasons in Georgetown. Our primary contact was with Jim Ratliff prior to the wedding and Jim and Steve Young were the videographers that day. They were very professional, yet very friendly, and made us feel very much at ease. Everyone told us how professional they were after the event as we were both so busy we could barely remember seeing them there. We just received our Blu-Ray copy and it was magnificent and we couldn't be happier with the results.
